Timing Issues
Help with timers and schedules — setting, syncing, and verifying timed actions.
Common questions about the timer and schedule features. For broader app issues see Setup Issues or the User Manual.
What should I do if the timer function I set does not work?
- After setting the timings, if the device is powered off and then powered on again, the previously set timings will be invalid — you need to set them again with the remote control or by connecting the app.
- If setting the timing to synchronize to the device fails, restart the device, reconnect, and set the timing again.
- The device executes timing based on your phone's system time. If your phone's system time deviates from the local time, it may affect the accuracy of the timer.
How do I set multiple timings?
This varies by device. Please refer to the device manual to confirm whether multiple timings are supported.
What if my lights always turn on and off automatically?
- Check whether the timer switch function is set. Try powering off for 30 seconds, then power back on, and turn off the timer function after the app connects to the device.
- Check whether the device is connected and controlled by someone else. Open the app and see whether the device can be discovered.
- Check whether someone is operating a remote control nearby — other types of remotes may also interfere with the device.
- If necessary, try restarting the device.
Why doesn't it respond at the specified time after setting the timer?
- After setting the timings, if the device is powered off and then powered on again, the previously set timings will be invalid — set them again with the remote control or via the app.
- If syncing the timing to the device fails, restart the device, reconnect, and set the timing again.
- The device executes timing based on your phone's system time. If your phone's system time deviates from local time, it may affect timer accuracy.
Why doesn't my device record a timed schedule?
The app does not store timing information. To view a device's timings, connect to the device and open the timing page — the app will automatically read the timings stored on the device and display them.
How do I know I successfully set the timer?
- App timing: after a successful setup, remove the device and then re-add and connect it. Open the timing page — if the page shows the time you just set, the timing is set successfully.
- Remote control timing: after a successful setup, the device will give a light reminder. Please refer to the device instruction manual.
